After requesting a trade earlier in the off season, it is looking like Kevin Durant is staying in Brooklyn.
The team released a statement earlier this morning (Tuesday, Aug 23), indicating that after a meeting between Steve Nash, Sean Marks, Joe and Clara Tsai, Kevin Durant, and his agent Rich Kleinman, everyone has agreed to “move forward with our partnership”.
This statement will put an end to any discussions regarding Kevin Durant and a trade anytime soon. Next season will be the first of a four-year contract with Brooklyn.

Amidst all this drama, Sean Marks managed to make some nice moves this off season, highlighted by the signing T.J. Warren, the acquisition of Royce O’Neale and the re-signings of Patty Mills, Nic Claxton. The big three of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and Ben Simmons, playing alongside this strong Brooklyn roster, the Nets are hoping to finally make it past the second round in this, so far, disappointing Durant-era.
