Karl-Anthony Towns breaks his single-game scoring record in a 128-125-point home loss.
On the anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s historic 81-point night, NBA fans were lucky enough to witness another two franchise record-breaking performances.

Shortly following the conclusion of the Sixers' 133-123 point victory over the Spurs and Joel Embiid’s franchise record-breaking 70 points, KAT went off for 62 points, breaking the franchise record he previously held. However, KAT’s all-time scoring night came in a game where the Timberwolves fell 128-123 to the Charlotte Hornets.
KAT in the loss posted an impressive 62 points shooting 21/35 from the field. What is even more impressive about KAT’s historic night, besides the fact that he broke his record, was that he became the second player in NBA history to record 10 three-pointers made while also getting 60 plus points. While KAT had a great night scoring, he ended the game with a 0 +\- and also airballed a potential game-tying three. KAT also had a turnover on the second last possession of the game, and in the fourth quarter only made 2 of his 10 shots totaling 4 points, and was a -17.
Despite the great offensive game from KAT, he still had 7 turnovers, and when the game was on the line, he couldn’t get it done. The Timberwolves' next game is on Wednesday night at Washington, while you can next catch the Hornets' next action on Wednesday night as well as they visit Detroit.
